Responsibilities
The facilitator will be roving between camps and other locations in Hassakeh, Raqaa Governorates (and potentially in Der Ezzor and Aleppo Governorates) to:
• Preparation of land surveys with all necessary surveying equipment:
o Total station
o Level measuring device (Nivo)
o Prisms, Tripods, etc.
• Survey locations with occurring displacement with the objective to propose effective shelter solutions
• Monitor the implementation and maintenance of camp infrastructure projects
• Gather information on shelter and infrastructure gaps to enable ORGANIZATION’s decision making for suitable interventions
• On a day to day basis, facilitators will report to their ORGANIZATION focal point
• Facilitators will prepare reports on the infrastructure and shelter situation on the information gathered in accordance with the established weekly work plans

Qualifications
•University degree in civil engineering or in a field related to the scope of work.
•Fluency in both verbal and written in English is considered an asset
•At least five years progressively responsible surveying works
• Additional work experience in planning construction activities in the field
• Experience working in public infrastructure projects is a strong asset
• Ideal but not essential would be additional experience as draughtsman and familiarity with AutoCAD, Ms project

•Capacity to work in an emergency context under stressful conditions and strict deadlines.
•Good communication and networking skills, including the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as establishing and maintaining close working relationships with a variety of implementing partners and counterparts at different levels.
•Very good computer skills, including experience with the relevant software applications.
