The Technical Facilitator:
(1) Undertake monitoring of psychosocial activities conducted through child friendly spaces and mobile teams, in specific areas agreed with ORGANIZATION, and assess quality of psychosocial interventions (based on international PSS standard), and technical capacity of psychosocial workers.
Field visits will focus on:
a) Observe psychosocial activities and help PSS workers reflect on what is working and not-working; advice on how to strengthen activities and handle challenges.
b) Provide guidance and mentoring support to organize age-appropriate and structured PSS activities through appropriate use of recreational kits and other resources, to promote stimulation and participatory environment for children.
c) Assess capacity and training needs of psychosocial workers and adjust/adapt training sessions accordingly.
Within 5 days following the field visit, the technical facilitator will produces a field trip report according to the standard format and submits the report to the respective Child Protection Officer for further dissemination and action by the relevant persons.
(2)Training of psychosocial workers:
a)Develop PSS training sessions for psychosocial workers based on existing training guidelines and manuals, including IASC Guideline on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings; National Psychosocial Guideline (MoSAL), Psychosocial training manual for school counsellors. This will include presentations, related training-aid materials, handout and relevant resources for psychosocial workers.
b) Support the introduction and implementation of child registration form (endorsed by MoSAL) by ORGANIZATION CP partners implementing PSS activities.
c) Implementation of activities shall commence immediately after signing of the contract for 2 months.

•University degree in psychology or child development
•At least five years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in project/programme management, monitoring and reporting.
•Experience working in a humanitarian context is an asset.
•Experience working with UN or NGO programmes/projects is an asset.
•Fluency both verbal and written in English and Arabic.

• Capacity to work in an emergency context under stressful conditions and strict deadlines.
• Good communication and networking skills, including the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as establishing and maintaining close working relationships with a variety of implementing partners and counterparts at different levels.
•Good computer skills, including experience with various software applications.
