Responsibilities
* Be the HR focal point for the Mission:
- Implement the AAH HR policy for Syria Mission in the frame work of HR guidelines, Internal Rules and Regulations, AAH Charter.
- Responsible for the Bases’ HR in respect of AAH HR policy under the supervision of HR Coordinator
Manage the recruitment, selection and placement of newly-hired national employees.
- Mainstream the use of HRIS systems
- Train newly-hired employees in the mission on AAH HR policy.
- Prepare staff induction session for national staff in the mission.
- Keep track of Annual Training Plan and make sure that the ATP is updated on time and training are being facilitated
* Responsible for the national HR Management:
- Keep employee’s file up-to-date
- Follow-up the leaves (sick, annual) in compliance with AAH IR.
- Conduct a periodical orientation on changes in HR policies to the existing employees.
- Prepare monthly payments for service contractors.
- Prepare AAH employment contracts, amendments in consultation with the lawyer in frame work of country practices and labor laws. Assure that contracts (and all documents that should be signed together with contracts) are signed by all employees before they begin working and kept safely.
- Assure all documents are kept safely in the employee file and upload in HRIS.
- Support the implementation of time keeping at the mission level.
- Closely follow up of leaves and overtime and alert administration, head of base, supervisors and when financial / legal risks are detected.
- Being the focal point for all the issue regarding staff health insurance.
- Prepare the final settlement calculations based on work days, leave balance and any other entitlement for the outgoing employees and coordinate with finance for the payment of final settlement in time and organize the exit interview with the HR Coordinator and DCD.
- Calculate monthly payroll and related payments (salaries, health insurance, social security related taxes, etc.) for the Syria mission employees and coordinate with Finance for approval and transfer of salaries in time.
- Issue monthly salary slips to the employees and collect the signed salary slips and archive them.
- Update IR whenever needed in collaboration with Deputy Country Director under supervision of HR Coordinator.
- Create documents related to disciplinary measures (warnings, termination) under the supervision of the HR Coordinator and Country Director approval.
- Issue office memos on general IR issues.
* Archiving of HR Documentations:
- Archive all HR documents in both hard and soft copies in the capital office for both national and expat staff.
- Ensure that all archived documents are in compliance with AAH HR procedures and guidelines.
- Provide requested documents by auditor (internal and external).

Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management or any relevant field, HRM is a plus.
Knowledge of Human Resources Management tools such as organization charts, performance appraisal, job descriptions, staff training and development.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources Management.
- Excellent command of Arabic and English languages
- excellent command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, web applications, HRIS.
- Excellent communication skills.
