• Participate in implementing health programs.
• Monitor the health situation of IDPs; identify specific health problems and their access to health care.
• Monitor the regional health situation by analyzing relevant information and identifying trends.
• Distribute medical supplies and equipment to the field.
• Coordinate the implementation of ICRC activities with the Directorate of Health, keeps it informed and facilitates obtaining the required approvals from local authorities.
• Work closely with ICRC Logistics department in facilitating the requisition orders for medical items.
• Maintain regular contacts with Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Damascus and Rural Damascus and other branches.
• Maintain regular contacts with the Directorate of Health, UN agencies, and NGOs
• Contribute to workshops and seminars in Syria.
• Report incidents of Health Care in Danger to the Health Deputy and Health Coordinator and prepare incident reports.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.

• 3 - 5 years work experience in a similar field
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Very good computer skills

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent humanitarian organization, which has been permanently present in Syria since 1967. The ICRC works closely and supports the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) organization to provide food, water, healthcare and other forms of relief assistance to people affected by the fighting. The ICRC also visits people detained and helps them to stay in contact with their families. This service is also provided to families separated as a result of the fighting.
