Responsibilities
• Support PHE Officers where necessary in preparing technical specifications of water and sanitation works, implementation plans, Bill of Quantities, Book of Conditions, design calculation and drawings.
• Support PHE team in technical assessments and preparing needs for repairs, replacement of the plumbing wares and sanitary wares.
• Participate in site visits to inspect project implementation progress from the qualitative and quantitative aspects.
• Participate in regular meetings with site engineers for the purpose of briefing and debriefing on project activities.
• Support in preparing contractors’ and site engineers’ payment vouchers with supporting documents and follow up on them with concerned parties.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, project documents and submissions to local authorities by providing information, preparing tables and drafting relatively routine sections.
• Assist in drafting correspondences and follow up on the administrative process of correspondences and requests exchanged with local authorities.
• Prepare background information for use in discussions with local authorities and other organisations.
• Collect and organize data and information and participate in preparing periodic reports on programme and project activities in addition to achievement reports.
• Maintain projects and plans hard and electronic files, minutes of meetings and any other key activity files of the PHE and update records in prescribed format.
• Translation task might be required (Arabic to English and Vice versa).
• Performs other duties, as required.

Qualifications
• Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Architecture Engineering Degree/Diploma with or without experience in Water or Construction sectors.
• Two years of administrative working experience is preferable.
• Experience in either Development or Humanitarian sector is desirable.
• Sound understanding of a community development approach to WASH, and willing to assist population in need.
 Good communication and coordination skills.
• Good organisational and work planning skills
• Able to set priorities and multi-task in dealing with job requirements.
• Detail oriented and good record keeper
• Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in all aspects of working
• Good report writing skills
• Good competency in Microsoft Office applications
• Good competency in AutoCAD and Google Maps (basic knowledge of WATER CAD and FPA NET Applications is desirable)
• Good written and spoken English and Arabic is essential
• Capacity to travel if needed
