Responsibilities
The Vocational Training Social Counselor is responsible for providing psycho-social services including group and individual psycho-social counseling to the trainees in the schools or training centers where Vocational Training Project carries out its activities. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1- Provides psycho-social services& monitoring during the implementation of Vocational Training activities in the field
- Presence in the VT schools/centers during the training course.
- Monitor the trainees and their behaviors during the courses.
- Contact parents when necessary (repeated absence, behavior problems...etc.).
- Recommend the best course of action when a problem occurs.
- Assess the trainees needs and report them to the LHFO.
- Develop and maintain a written counseling plan to be implemented during the vocational training course after the validation by the LHFO.
- Provide the trainees with group counseling sessions.
- Provide the trainees with individual counseling sessions.
- Organize life skills sessions.
- Assist in organizing schools/centers activities.
2- Provide internal reporting of the activities
- Prepare reports according to the forms provided by PU.
- Prepare the trainees& social evaluation in cooperation with the trainers.
- Complete the social educational forms for all trainees

Qualifications
- BA in psychology or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in the psych-social counseling field.
- Previous experience with adolescences, or refugees, or IDPs.
- Previous experience with INGOs or UN Agencies is preferred.
- Professional level in using Arabic, Basic level in using English
- Basic Level in using MS. Office (Word, Excel, Emails & Internet Explorer)
- Solid experience in the psych-social counseling field.
- Previous experience with adolescences, or refugees, or IDPs.
- Previous experience with INGOs or UN Agencies is preferred.
- Professional level in using Arabic, Basic level in using English

Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is a French nongovernmental, not profit organization working in the field of international aid. PU has been present in Syria since 2008, our mission was to provide humanitarian aids to the Iraqi refugees. In 2013, PU signed an MOU with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent that allowed our organization to broaden its intervention in Syria to include the crisis affected population. PUI approaches different needs with different programs such as: Education and vocational training programs, NFI distributions, rehabilitation of Collective Shelters and water trucking supply.
