Responsibilities
Objective 1: ( To support the implementation and the follow-up of the WASH projects activities)
 Conduct the Assessments to determine the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) needs of the target villages/ areas and submit reports.
 Follow up installation activities and delivery notes for material and equipment for Dow’s.
 Monitor materials, equipment and supplies for technical works.
 Participate in development of monitoring tools in coordination with line manager, emergency program manager, WASH coordinator, and the rest of the Technical Department at mission level.
 Participate in the development and the timely update for AAH areas of intervention in coordination with the rest of the technical department.
 In coordination with the WaSH advisor, to supervise implementation of activity plans for the ongoing projects particularly on water trucking, minor maintenance & rehabilitation of Water & sanitation infrastructures /activities in order to ensure designed project deliverable are met in time.
 Participate actively in building Dow’s staff capacity in work plan development and reporting to ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of activities.
 Ensure DoW staff understands and follows AAH and donor Policies and Procedures
 Archiving technical documents in coordination with the WaSH Advisors.

Objective 2: (Reporting)
 Prepare internal reports within agreed deadlines using AAH‘s and donor formats, as required.
 Contribute to the weekly, monthly (APRS) developments with progress on WASH activities
 Assure appropriate and timely reporting to the WaSH Advisor to achieve program goals.
Objective 3: (Representation)
 Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders i.e., DoWs and other AAH’s sectors to enhance cooperation and coordination.
 Ensure that information from meetings is shared internally as appropriate.
 Attend meetings with DoW or others when requested by line manager.



Qualifications
- Diploma Degree: Electrical, Civil, or mechanical Engineering.
- Arabic and English are compulsory.
- Computer and internet use skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 5 years work experience in the filed of WASH.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing needs.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Good knowledge of the geography and water supply context of the area of work.
- Based in Damascus with possibility of travelling to other governorate especially Daraa for needs identification, assessments, monitoring, ... .
