• Work under the supervision of the Senior M&E Assistant in carrying out monitoring and evaluation tasks (planning, coordination, training of staff, data collection, cleaning, analysis);
• Support the process of review and adjustment of M&E tools and the development of a program M&E framework;
• Assist the M&E Officer in developing surveys and questionnaires and other M&E tools, always in close coordination with the individual program departments;
• Support the capacity-building of monitors as well as IMC colleagues in program departments;
• Where appropriate, and in accordance with security and SARC clearance, accompany the M&E Officer on field visits to project sites for staff trainings and spot checks to monitor project implementation in accordance with project plans, ensuring quality efficiency, accountability, and visibility (where appropriate);
• Support the analysis of monitoring data and formulation of lessons learned and recommendations for improvements to program implementation;
• Assist in drafting of monitoring and evaluation reports and in providing feedback to program;
• Inform the Senior M&E Assistant and Program Reporting Coordinator of significant issues and developments with regards to the monitoring and evaluation of program, and offer recommendations for possible courses of action;
• Other tasks as required

Technical Attributes:
1- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, Health or related field;
2- Fluent in English and Arabic language, written and spoken (essential);
3- Very good report writing skills (essential);
4- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or project management (highly desirable);
5- Experience in working with a humanitarian organization (highly desirable);
6- Experience and broad knowledge of emergency assistance and relief projects (desirable)
7- Advanced computer skills, experience and practice including internet, emails, and software - Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (essential);
8- Ability to conduct statistical analysis using SPSS, Stata or SAS (essential);
9- Experience in management of large quantities of data and maintenance of data-bases (highly desirable);
10- Presentation and facilitation skills (highly desirable);
Personal Attributes:
11- Capacity to work individually and as part of a team;
12- Ability to efficiently coordinate with multiple counterparts;
13- Willingness to travel to the field;
14- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and follow-up and consistent in seeking clarification;

17- Strong personal initiative and resourcefulness;
18- Demonstrated interest in development and humanitarian issues and practice.
