• Ensure the implementation and the monitoring of the school rehabilitation project:
- S/He organizes, schedules and coordinates the School Rehabilitation activities.
- S/He monitors closely the implementation of activities at field level with site visits on a monthly basis.
- S/He supervises the work schedule of the Rehabilitation team and provides them with technical.
- S/He ensures the timely implementation of the project.
- S/He shares about the work progress.
- S/He ensures proper coordination and communication with the different stakeholders (local authorities, Ministries …).
- S/He ensures that all project documents are correctly filled and filed.

• Manage the operational team:
- S/He launches and brings to fruition the recruitment of the operational team under her/his responsibility.
- S/He ensures the administrative HR management of his/her team in collaboration with the HR department.
- S/He ensures that her/his team complies with PU internal rules (disciplinary management when needed).
- S/He ensures a good communication, coordination and information level within the team through regular coordination meetings (or other if needed).


• Manage the logistical and financial aspects of the project:
- S/He follows up procurements for the project needs.
- S/He ensures that the operational follow up is up-to-date.
- S/He prepares the cash forecast on a monthly basis.

• Represent PU for the project:
- S/He ensures representation of PU (with her/his team, at field level) among partners, donors and different authorities.
- S/He prepares and organizes field visits with donors or local authorities when needed.

• Ensure the internal and external reporting of the project:
- S/He provides internal reporting on activities according to PU internal tools.
- S/He prepares external reporting according to the needs (reports to local authorities, donors).

• Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service-oriented manner in a demanding working condition that often has short deadlines.
• Resident of Damascus Governorate.
• Advanced Project Cycle management skills
• Managing priorities, time and deadline.
• Well organized.
• Previous experience with INGO or UN agencies.
• Priority for candidates applying before 01-February-2017

PU has been present in Syria since 2008, our mission was to provide humanitarian aids to the Iraqi refugees. In 2013, PU signed an MOU with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent that allowed our organization to broaden its intervention in Syria to include the crisis-affected population. PU approaches different needs with different programs such as: Education and vocational training programs, NFI distributions, rehabilitation of Collective Shelters and water trucking supply.
