Responsibilities
1- Transports for staff and Goods/Equipment:
- Provide the transport for staff and goods/equipment according to the instructions.
- Follow the daily vehicle schedule.
- Drive carefully and respect the traffic rules and PUI security and rules concerning the allowed people to transport.
- Adapt its speed depending on the circumstances (road conditions, people ...).
- Responsible for the transportation of persons and must ensure that it is allowed for the person to get in the vehicle.
2- Ensures Maintenance of Vehicles:
- Execute a daily check (oil level, water level, bodywork…), and s/he has to inform the Head of Drivers and the Safety & Facilities Officer in case of any mechanical problem.
- Follow the mechanic reparation if necessary.
- Responsible of the consumption of the fuel in his car.
- Perform minor repairs, arranges for regular maintenance and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times.
- Ensure the availability of all the required documents, first aid kit, and log book in his assigned vehicle.
- Immediately informs the Head of Drivers and the Safety & Facilities Officer, in case of an accident involving the organization vehicle, and ensures that the necessary steps by PUI rules and regulations are followed.
3- Ensures Security of Passengers:
- Share security information with the Head of Drivers and the Safety & Facilities Officer
- Follow PUI driving rules and regulations.
- Understand and obeys traffic law and regulations.
- Drive with consideration for the safety of the passengers, other road users, the load, and the technical state of the vehicle.
- Ensure the wearing of seat belts by all passengers at all times
- Place the car keys on the Logistics Office whenever the vehicle is parked after daily work.
4- Provides Support in some logistics related tasks:
- To help the logistics department in some logistics work when it is needed

Qualifications
- Valid Syrian driving license.
- Minimum 2 years work experience as a driver.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations;
- Very good knowledge in Damascus and Rural Damascus areas.
- Advanced Mechanical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good level of spoken English.
- Experience with INGO's or UN Agencies is an added value.

Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is a French non-governmental, not profit organization working in the field of international aid. PU has been present in Syria since 2008, our mission was to provide humanitarian aids to the Iraqi refugees. In 2013, PU signed an MOU with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent that allowed our organization to broaden its intervention in Syria to include the crisis-affected population. PU approaches different needs with different programs such as: Education and vocational training programs, NFI distributions, rehabilitation of Collective Shelters and water trucking supply.
