Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
The overall responsibility is to prepare all the accountancy pertaining to the projects being implemented by ACF in Syria, namely cash and bank management, all supporting documents of the transactions made and corresponding archive. The Mission Accountant will also support the Admin/Fin coordinator regarding budget/expenses follow up and reporting.
Objective 1: To ensure the appropriate cash and bank management of Damascus office and liaison with other Field/Base offices:
Cash and bank management, Treasury, Compliance.
Objective 2: To ensure the appropriate recording of all transactions in the accountancy and archiving of all supporting documents.
Objective 3: To ensure the appropriate administrative management.
Objective 4: To ensure the respect and correct application of Syrian tax rules and regulations with the support of ACF lawyer.
Objective 5: Communication and Reporting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in accountancy or any related field
- Minimum 3 years of previous working experience in any of the fields mentioned above: cash and bank books, salary sheets, treasury, proof of expenditures, archive
- Knowledge of Syrian labour law and Syrian Tax Law
- High team work collaboration
- Experience in working with and coordinating with international and national NGOs, Government Institutions and other stakeholders
- Minimum 3 years of previous working experience in any of the fields mentioned above: cash and bank books, salary sheets, treasury, proof of expenditures, archive
- Knowledge of Syrian labour law and Syrian Tax Law
