Responsibilities
• Monitor and supervise the shelter activities at field level
• Monitor and review the overall Shelter materials and equipment movements such as deliveries, storage, transport and utilization at the site level
• Ensure and verify the quantity of equipment and materials are ordered and received, and properly recorded for damage or suspected to be damaged or expired
• Ensure quality standards of structural and civil works are upheld in all project sites
• Ensure the proper implementation of action plan, review achievements, constraints, and lessons learnt and provide feedback
• Ensure reporting timelines are met
• Report on the running activities in the implementation areas after site visits
• Prepare for handing over process and follow up the handing over with the local authorities.
• Coordinate with supervision committee to insure all project activities done as per project’s standards and specification.
• Organize and lead on conducting technical surveys, questionnaires or assessments as required
• Coordinate and meet local authority representatives (site level) to insure adapt project’s activities as per Government’s regulations.
• Coordinate with various staff at field level on planning and implementing program activities.
• Ensure project documents are properly filed and kept secured.
• Act responsibly and communicates respectfully with beneficiaries to give a clear and accurate information about beneficiaries
• Conduct filed visits to the projects site on weekly basis
• Participate in the field work and respond to beneficiaries’ queries and feedback to line manager.
• Ensure respect of security rules and report immediately to the Field Coordinator and Security F.P.
• Identification and referrals of needs and potential new beneficiaries to the line manager
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
• University Degree in (Civil) Engineering, certificate in building/construction or related technical qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in monitoring construction and managing contractors is highly desirable
• Experience in community based approaches to construction
• Familiarity with the minimum construction standards (eg., Shelter Sector Standards)
• Excellent reporting skills
• Report writing skills and computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, Power point
• Experience in conducting surveys, managing data and statistics is desirable
• Knowledge of the INGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus
• A previous experience with Intersos is a plus
• Fluency in Arabic and good working English knowledge
