Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor health programmes within the assigned geographic area.
• Focal person for the Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (CL) program in Hama Governorate.
• Conduct assessments and regular field visits to monitor activities linked to the CL programme in Hama Governorate.
• Participate in analysis of the overall health situation and contribute to project proposals and planning of health programmes.
• Ensure proper management of information collected and appropriate, relevant reporting.
• Coordinate ICRC health activities with the Directorate of Health
• Maintain regular contacts with Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
• Maintain regular contacts with the Directorate of Health, UN agencies, and NGOs
• Contribute to workshops and seminars in Syria.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.
Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine.
• 5 to 10 years work experience in a similar field
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Very good computer skills
• Good knowledge of the assigned geographical area.

The ICRC also visits people detained and helps them to stay in contact with their families. This service is also provided to families separated as a result of the fighting.
